There were many beautiful and important matches both in the clubs I played and in the national team. One of them, though, is particularly special to me.
Armenian junior team received the Turkish team in the qualifying tournament of European Championship on August 20, 2008 at Hrazdan stadium.
That game was extremely important for the Turks in terms of further competition. Our team lost all chances to qualify for the next round, but nevertheless put all their efforts and did everything to win. A very intense game unfolded, both teams didn’t want to surrender.
I managed to score a winning goal in the extra time and bring 3 points to our team. Karlen Mkrtchyan evened the score earlier.
It was indescribable, we were all happy - the players, coaches, 35 thousand viewers at the stadium. An amazing atmosphere ruled at Hrazdan stadium.
I have only great impressions, memories and emotions from that game. I believe I’ll get many more victorious and unforgettable victories such as this in my career.
