Greco-Roman wrestler Karen Aslanyan won his first bronze medal in European Championship among adults.
The wrestler said that he was very happy about the victory.
“It really was a very tough competition, all the competitors were strong. Frankly speaking, I aimed at winning the gold, but I made some mistakes and was defeated. Nevertheless, this is my first medal in the competition with adults. So I am very excited about it,” Aslanyan said.
Aslanyan wasn’t the only athlete from Armenia to win a medal. Maksim Manukyan and Artur Aleksanyan won gold medals in the European Championship in Kaspiysk.
