Armenia’s freestyle wrestling team is concluding the first training camp of 2018 in Tsaghkadzor.
The team will travel to Iran on February 6 to take part in the international tournament.
Head coach of the team Habetnak Kurghinyan has told Mediamax Sport that Georgi Ketoev and Levan Berianidze will miss the competition.
Armenia will be represented in the Iranian tournament by Mihran Jaburyan (57kg), Valodya Frangulyan (65kg), Valter Margaryan, Narek Sirunyan and Artak Hovhannisyan (all 70 kg), Grigor Grigoryan and Davit Apoyan (both 74kg), Marzpes Galstyan (86kg), Shamir Atyan and Arman Mkrtchyan (92kg), and Andranik Galstyan (125kg).
“The first training camp is very important. It passed well and the boys are in good form. The first tournament will show the level of our preparedness,” said the coach.
