The International Tournament “Strandja” has ended in Sofia. Armenia was also represented in the competition by the national boxing team.
Gurgen Hovhannisyan (91kg) was the most successful Armenian athlete in Strandja 2018. He won all his fights up until the final and lost to Petar Belberov (Bulgaria) 1-4, collecting the silver medal.
He became the only medalist in Vahan Adilkhanyan’s seven-man team.
