We all have witnessed Armenian national teams’ unimpressive matches without victory for over 2 years. We are all trying to forget the failures of Euro-2016 and get ready for next tournament. Although this thinking is not constructive anymore.
Mediamax Sport covers the Armenian Youth National teams in the last part of three-part articles dedicated to national team’s problems.
It’s not a secret that our youth team will become pretty much the main team in the future. Footballers would be chosen from under 17,19 and 21 teams and they will create the national team’s good or bad future.

Although it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand what would become with our national team in a couple of years.
Let’s start with under 17 years old team that took part in Euro-2016 qualifier matches in Portugal.
Our team had 3 matches. 2 failed and one draw. It should be mentioned that the national team accepted 13 goals (7 from Portugal, 5 from England and 1 from San Marino) and only scored 1. Naturally, Armenaian team doesn’t even dream of passing to the next stage.

Under 19 years old team was even worse. They couldn’t even get 1 point. Our tem had 3 failed matches in Estonia within Euro 2016 qualifier stage. 3 matches, 10 accepted goals.
Under 21 years old Armenain team’s games haven’t not finished yet. Our team still has matches to play against Wales and Denmark. But the team is repeating the main team’s “traditions”. 4 matches and only one draw.
Before this match, Armenians lost to Romania 0:3 and Bulgaria- 0:2. And are the last in the group again.

Armenian national football team was not better than the Youth teams. They were also the last in their Euro-2016 qualifier stage group.
It is worth mentioning that the 4 teams accepted 53 goals and scored 8 jointly.

These numbers and the teams matches in general give a hug ground for concerns. We need high level specialists who will be able to work with the players. Our teams don’t participate in serous tournaments, they don’t compete and it seems like that they don’t want to win sometimes.
This is the reason that they fail to perform in serious matches. Armenian Football federation should draw appropriate conclusions, do enormous and correct work, if it wants to get the football out of this situation.
