The Moldovan team won the Gyumri Cup 2025 International Journalists' Football Tournament held at the Gyumri City Stadium on June 14, defeating all its rivals and earning 18 points.
The Kazakh team won the silver medal with 13 points. The Armenian team earned 12 points and came in 3rd place. Hungary took 4th place with 9 points. The winning teams received cups and medals.

Sergey Ursul from the Moldovan team was recognized as the best player of the tournament, Sergey Nadtochny from Kazakhstan became the best scorer with 13 goals, and Khoren Manukyan from the Armenian team was recognized as the best goalkeeper.
The special award of the “Sport Media”Armenian Association of Sports Journalists was awarded to the Hungarian team, and the YoHealth application presented an award to the oldest participant of the tournament, Romeo Chiriac from Romania. The “Menq” Initiative of Gyumri, in turn, presented souvenirs to all the seniors.

Let us remind you that the organizers of the tournament were the Armenian Association of Sports Journalists “Sport Media” and the “WE” initiative of Gyumri, and the main sponsor was the YoHealth application. The “Shirak” and “Noah” football clubs fully supported the holding of the event.
This year, 7 teams of journalists participated in the tournament: the teams of journalists from Georgia, Romania, Moldova, Hungary, Kazakhstan and Armenia, as well as the Gyumri team, competed in a round-robin format. Due to the ongoing military operations, the Israeli team was unable to arrive at the competition venue.
