Tomorrow Armenian national junior freestyle wrestling team will depart for Moldova to participate in international team tournament.
The Head Coach of the team Avetik Vardanyan told Mediamax Sport that since the Armenian championship took place recently, they decided to avoid tough trainings so that athletes do not lose weight. They will not come up in their usual weight categories.
“This is a team competition and the result is very important for us. We aim at providing the young men with the opportunity to have as many fights as possible before the European Championship,” Vardanyan said.
The athletes to participate in the tournament are Arakel Movsesyan (50kg), Karen Zurabyan (57kg), Vazgen Tevanyan (65kg), Gegham Galstyan (70kg), Arman Andriasyan(74kg), Hrayr Alikhanyan(79kg), Arman Avagyan (86kg), Mher Markosyan (92kg) and Hovhannes Maghakyan (120kg).
