The services of former Armenia National Team and FC "Ararat-Armenia" club head coach Vardan Minasyan are of interest to one of the Central Asian national teams. Mediamax Sport learned this from informed sources.
The coach himself confirmed this information in a conversation with a Mediamax correspondent, but refused to name the country from which he received the invitation. "Uzbekistan's national team reaching the final stage of the World Cup motivated other teams in the region as well, so I'm not surprised by this offer. Overall, after leaving “Ararat-Armenia” I receive many offers, but haven't accepted any yet. There are many details that my agreement depends on. And the most important among them is what goals this team pursues. I'm ready to lead only a team that sets ambitious goals for itself,"- Minasyan noted.
At the same time, he denied reports that he intends to return to "Pyunik," with which he won numerous titles. "At the moment I'm not interested in coaching work in Armenia and don't consider such offers," Vardan Minasyan noted.
Under Minasyan's leadership, "Ararat-Armenia" club became the country's champion twice, won the Super Cup twice and the Armenia Cup once, and last season became the championship silver medalist. And Armenia's national team under his leadership rose to a record 32nd place in the FIFA rankings. Vardan Minasyan also worked as a coach abroad, particularly in Kazakhstan.
