Sportsmen continue to join and assist the charity auction on providing housing for the homeless in Gyumri that is to be held on February 28.
Olympic champion and Armenian Greco-Roman wrestling team's head coach Levon Julfalakyan and Olympic silver medalist and world champion Arsen Julfalakyan have also joined this important and good initiative.
Arsen Julfalakyan told Mediamax Sport that he had seen the photos some time ago, but when he learned about the initiative he immediately decided to join and demonstrate his contribution.
The wrestler provided the charity auction with the boots he was wearing when he performed at the European championship and won a medal, participated and won numerous international competitions, as well as prepared for the London Olympics.
"I’ve chosen particularly these shoes because there should be something valuable to be sold at the auction. They will definitely have great value for real spectators. I hope that people will assess these and the money will serve the good purpose,” noted Arsen Julfalakyan.
He always tries to join such initiatives, because he is convinced that any problem can be solved with united efforts.
“ By taking this opportunity, I would like to invoke everyone and especially sportspeople to join this important initiative and contribute to the project implementation as much as possible. You only need the will and desire.”
Greco-Roman wrestling team's head coach Levon Julfalakyan also joined the initiative without hesitation. After the organizers’ call he decided to join this initiative immediately.
“We should support families in need. I have joined the initiative with great pleasure and honour. It’s great to be helpful to people who need it,” noted Levon Julfalakyan.
He auctions the shoes in which he became the Olympic champion in Seoul in 1988: “I have different sport accessories, but I thought that more people would be interested in these because they helped me beat all opponents.”
This initiative was joined earlier by the former head coach of Armenian national football team and the executive director of “Pyunik” Vardan Minasyan.
