Armenian Judo Federation hopes to leave for Rio 2016 with 3 sportsmen.
Head of Federation Davit Khitaryan stated that Hovhannes Davtyan has the biggest chances to leave for the Olympics.
“The athletes that are included in the best 22 can gain Olympic quota places: Hovhannes is the 14th in his weight category. Ferdinant Karapetyan has been representing Armenia for also month but has managed to take part in a number of tournaments and gain a quota place. We only have hopes about Zhanna Stankevch, who is the 28th. These 3 athletes will take part in 2016 Ranking tournaments”, said Khitaryan.
2016 will be satisfying for judo federation, if 3 judoists leave for Olympics, win a medal or successfully take part in European Championship.
