Over 3000 people will take part in the international half-marathon due to be held in Yerevan on October 3.
At a press conference today, European Champion, record-holder and silver medalist of World Championship Robert Emmiyan has said that he has been engaged in athletics and his dream came true today.
“Famous football player Youri Djorkaeff, his brother, Deputy Mayor of Dessin for Culture and Foreign Relations Denny Djorkaeff, Charles Aznavour’s son Misha Aznavour received my invitation and will arrive in Armenia to take part in the event. Various presidents and vice presidents of European federations have also arrived in Armenia”, said President of Athletics Federation of Armenia Robert Emmiyan.
Yerevan RUNARM 2015 Half Marathon will start at the Republic Square at 19:30 in Yerevan. It will comprise 4 races- half marathon (21.097km), relay race (2 x 10,550km), 5 km race and 2.5km race for pupils aged 12-15.
Half Marathon is the only international race certified by the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Armenia and Athletics Federation.
