UEFA reveals refreshed brand identity for Champions League

UEFA has unveiled the refreshed brand identity of the Champions league. The centerpiece of the identity is the connected stars from the ‘starball’ in the UEFA Champions League.

“It [the new brand identity] consolidates the core brand values that the competition is known for, while highlighting the leading role it plays in football. The UEFA Champions League has expanded to become part of the global entertainment environment, rather than just solely being a sports event,” UEFA said.

Magenta and cyan have been added to the blue colour palette of the competition to make the look more vibrant.

Marketing Director at UEFA Events SA Guy-Laurent Epstein has noted that the UEFA Champions League is a globally recognized brand in football, sports and entertainment. “This brand refresh maximizes the opportunities to engage with fans and stakeholders across new technologies and platforms,” he added.
