Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan gave an interview to Russian Match TV (Матч ТВ) and talked about his experience after joining Man United, the challenges he had to overcome, and Jose Mourinho’s character.

The dream coming true

Any footballer would be happy to play for the club that wants them. If my son was so successful to play for United, I would go mad with happiness.

Everything seemed like a dream after signing the contract. I couldn’t believe it was happening. I was very happy and I couldn’t get back to normal for several weeks. Only a few believed I could reach that level, but challenges are always there so I was ready, I knew they would only make me stronger.

Tears and faith

On some days I just cried, thinking I couldn’t do it and things wouldn’t work out. But the following day I went to the pitch and trained. I gave all I had and even more. I was certain I would succeed.

Jose Mourinho

Many people don’t like Jose Mourinho, but you can’t get everyone to like you. He has his good and bad sides, as we all do, but he’s one of the best coaches in the world and he proved it time and again.
