Levon Aronian says he feels happy after his victory

Having won in rapid and blitz competitions of Grand Chess Tour in St. Louis, Levon Aronian said that he feels happy.

The Armenian chess player performed very well and took the first place with 22 points. He noted that he was confident, as he always plays great in St. Louis. 

 

Aronian became the winner in St. Louis in 2017 and shared 1st-3rd place in 2018. 

 

In addition to the monetary prize, Aronian also won important points in final score of Grand Chess Tour. Currently, he is in the 3rd place with 24 points. Magnus Carlsen (38 points) is the first and Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (33.3 points) is the second.

 

The next round of Grand Chess Tour will also take place in St. Louis; the participants will compete in classical chess today.
