Aronian finishes 2nd in Leuven rapid tournament

The first part of Leuven Rapid & Blitz tournament has ended in Belgium.

Levon Aronian lost to Sergey Karjakin, beat Fabiano Caruana and drew with Maxime Vachier-Lagrave in the last three rounds.

It took his point tally to 11, the same amount Vachier-Lagrave earned. Final estimation put Aronian second and the French chess player third. The winner is Wesley So with 14 points.

Today the tournament starts the blitz games.
