5 medals in Vladikavkaz: A successful European C’ship for Armenian boxers

Armenian national team returned from the European U22 Boxing Championships, held in Vladikavkaz, with 5 medals.

Gold and silver came courtesy of the women’s team, as Anush Grigoryan (51kg) beat Gelyusa Galiyeva (Russia) 4-1 in the final to take the first place.

Ani Hovsepyan (64kg) also fought a Russian boxer in the final, Ekaterina Dynnik, but lost it and took the silver medal.

The men’s team collected three bronze medals thanks to Vakhtang Harutyunyan, Hrayr Shahverdyan and Gurgen Hovhannisyan.
