After a long, around five-month pause we finally have a chance to watch the Armenian national play again.
Much time has elapsed since then – Armenian football players have changed their clubs, some have even managed to receive and recover from injuries, and some got their first invitation to the national. This time we have two newcomers – Gael Andonian from Olympique de Marseille and Ruslan Koryan from Lokomotiv Tashkent.
We have high expectations from these two tall footballers of the attack and defense lines and we hope that owing to them, our national team will be able to play better in the second part of the qualifying and will stand out with its effectiveness.

Last time we “said goodbye” to our national on quite a somber note –Armenians lost three points in Portugal vs Armenia match in November and came in the last place of Group B. We haven’t seen them in action since. And it’s extremely hard to make predictions and to try to understand in what form the Armenian national will approach the match with Albania.
The fact the Albania national is not an easy pie for any of the teams in the qualifying has been known since the first match.
Albania vs Armenia match will be important in all senses; it will be decisive for the Armenian national. We have yet not let the struggle for Euro 2016 entry slip through our fingers and it’s high time to demonstrate our team spirit and nature.
The match will be also decisive for head coach Bernard Challandes. Thus it will solely depend on Armenian footballers whether they will continue to work with Challandes or they will have a new coach.

The match with Armenia is highly important for persistent and volitional Albanians as well, otherwise coach Gianni De Biasi wouldn’t say that it’s the most important match in his career and that they should score a victory at any cost.
Much will depend on the confrontation of “Mountain Eagles” and Armenian footballers, or as Challandes tends to say, from the match of “Lions and Eagles” in “Elbasan Arena” on March 28. The match between the two nationals that have never won an entry for the European Championship and World Cup finals will give an answer to many questions.
We need a victory more than ever. It’s what the fans and experts demand and expect. The majority of players for the Armenian national have taken part and personally carved out the impressive and beautiful victories full of goals over Slovakia, Denmark, Czech Republic and Bulgaria. They have certainly not forgotten the joyfulness and enthusiasm they bestowed on them. They will simply need to have strong faith and confidence in themselves.
