Albania-Armenia match will take place in Elbasan, Albania, in a few days.
This year the teams will hold the first matches within Group I of Euro 2016.
The Albania team started the tournament with a sensational victory. The football world did not expect Gianni De Biasi to find the formula to win the Portugal national football team. But he managed to do it, and his team scored a 1-0 victory.
The next team the Albania national was to play with was that of Denmark, the leader of the group.
The Albania team was winning with a score 1-0, however, at the end of the match the Denmark team scored an equalizer – 1-1. Serbia-Albania match in Belgrade was abandoned because of clashes. Afterwards, UEFA passed a decision on awarding Serbia a technical 3-0 victory over Albania.

As of now, the Albania national has four points and comes in the third place.
The Armenia national team is presently the last but it can save the situation if it manages to win Albania in the away match. Three matches, two goals and only one point – this is the results of Challandes’ team.
Armenians did not manage to score a victory in the last three official matches. They lost to Denmark (1-2), tied Serbia (1-1) and lost points in the match with the Portugal team (0-1).
Those three points are as necessary for Armenians in the match with Albania as the breath of life. They ought to win if they want to have hopes for the European Championship final. Besides, as Chairman of the Armenian Football Federation Ruben Hayrapetyan recently noted Challandes will be dismissed if the team loses.

To date, the Armenia and Albania national teams have held three matches. They first played on official level in the qualifying stage of the World Cup 1998. The teams registered a draw in Tirana (1-1), while in Yerevan the Armenian footballers scored three unanswered balls to the opponent’s goal. The last match took place in August 2013. Gianni De Biasi’s players scored two goals and managed to keep their goal inaccessible.
In order to attain the highly important victory they will do their best to play literate football. This match will make it clear for the both teams whether they will continue their struggle for the Euro entry or not.
In the meantime, Armenian fans will be looking forward to good news. After all, it’s been long since they saw our team’s beautiful and triumphant match.
