Armenian wrestler Slavik Galstyan has reached the final of the U23 Senior European Championship in Novi Sad, Serbia.
He entered into the competition in the round of 8 and won three matches. In the semi-final Galstyan beat Oleksandr Hrushyn (Ukraine) 13-4.
Galstyan’s opponent in the final is Levani Kavjaradze (Gerogia).
Another member of the Armenian team David Ovasapyan (130kg) will hold a third-place playoff with Osman Yildirim (Turkey).
Other Armenian wrestlers to compete today are Armen Melikyan (60kg) and Hrant Kalachyan (72kg, round of 8). Their opponents will be Mikkel Lassen (Denmark) and Aleksa Erski (Serbia) respectively.
