Armenian wrestlers in Junior World C’ship: 2 silver medalists, 1 finalist

Armenia’s Greco-Roman wrestlers have won two silver medals in the Junior World Championship held in Trnava, Slovakia.

Tigran Minasyan brought the first one to the team after losing to Mohammad Naserpour (Iran) 4-9 in the final.



The second silver medal came courtesy of David Ovasapyan. His final competitor Amin Mirzazadeh was also from Iran, and the Armenian athlete lost 0-5.



Two other Armenia representatives showed different results: Malkhas Amoyan (67kg) has reached the final and will wrestle with Makhmud Bakhshilloev (Uzbekistan) today, while Ararat Manucharyan is going to a consolation match.
