Malkhas Amoyan takes silver in Junior Wrestling World Championship

Junior Wrestling World Championship ended in Tampere, Finland.

Greco-Roman style wrestlers closed the tournament and the Armenia team won one medal on the last day.

Malkhas Amonyan (66kg) won all his 4 fights (with Moldova, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, and Turkey representatives) and reached the final, where he wrestled with Iranian athlete. He started the match well, leading 3-1, but his competitor managed to win points and was given the victory with a 3-3 score. Amoyan was awarded the silver medal.

Earlier in the tournament, Karen Zurabyan and Arsen Harutyunyan (freestyle) won silver and bronze respectively.
