Arthur Aleksanyan won the first medal of the Armenian national Greco-Roman wrestling team at the World Championship in Las Vegas.
One of our most titled sportsman again justified the expectations. He won the Japanese, Norwegian, Ukrainian, Romanian wrestlers and passed to the final.
Here he fought against Iranian Ghasem Rezaei. From the very start, the Armenian sportsman scored the first 2 points. In the second round, Aleksanyan was invincible and celebrated his victory becoming a World Champion.
Thus, the Armenian Greco-Roman wrestling team headed by Levon Julfalakyan already ensured 2 tickets to the Olympic Games. Besides Aleksanyan, Mihran Harutyunyan will also take part in the games in Rio.
