Edgar Khachatryan wins bronze medal at World Championships



The team of Armenia has managed to win a bronze medal at the Junior Wrestling World Championships that completed in Brazil.

Superheavyweight Edgar Khachatryan climbed on the third spot of the podium. He won Mehar Singh (India) 12-3.

Slavik Galstyan (55 kg) also fought for the bronze medal, however he lost to Islomjon Bakhramov of Uzbekistan.

On August 15, vying for medals will be the freestyle wrestlers, among them Razmik Misakyan (50 kg), Narek Hovhannisyan (55 kg), Gagik Akulyan (60 kg), Gevorg Mkheyan (66 kg), Suren Khachatryan (74 kg) and Sargis Hovsepyan (84 kg).
