The names of the Armenian Greco-Roman wrestlers to take part in Dan Kolov-Nikola Petrov annual international major tournament are already known.
Head coach for the team, Olympic champion Levon Julfalakyan noted that the Armenian wrestlers are in fighting mood for the tournament due on April 24-26 and will fight for medals.
The Armenian team includes Narek Khachatryan (59 kg), Rafael Aleksanyan (71 kg), Arsen Julfalakyan (75 kg), Karapet Chalyan (75 kg), Varsham Boranyan (75 kg), Hrach Hovhannisyan (80 kg), Artur Shahinyan (85 kg), Maksim Manukyan (85 kg) and Artur Aleksanyan (98 kg).
Julfalakyan said that Roman Amoyan (59 kg) will miss the tournament because of nose surgery, and Aram Julfalakyan (66 kg) because of an injury. In order not to lose weight, Varsham Boranyan will compete in up to 75 kg weight category this time.
The coach informed that over 40 wrestlers from Belarus, Poland, Lithuania, Switzerland and Norway will take part in the camp in Tsakhkadzor on May 13-27. During that time, the members of the Armenian youth team led by Armen Babalaryan will also hold a camp in Tsakhkadzor.
