Armenia will be represented by 4 athletes in the IWF Junior World Championships, which will be held in Bucharest on March 14-21.
Head coach of the Armenian team Melik Ghukasyan has told Mediamax Sport that Armenian champion Rafik Harutyunyan and silver medalist of Armenian Championship Karen Margaryan will represent the country in 81kg weight category, while bronze medalist Armen Grigoryan will travel to Bucharest as potential substitute.
Two other members of the team are Ara Aghanyan (89kg) and Yasha Minasyan (102kg).
Winner of Junior European Championship 2019 and Junior Armenian Championship 2020 Karen Avagyan and winner (and record holder) of the 2019 European and World championships Varazdat Lalayan train with the senior team now. They will be involved in U23 competitions as well.
