The International Weightlifting Federation has opened the voting for Lifters of the Year 2019.
Anyone can cast a vote on the federation’s official website. One of the candidates in men’s voting is Armenian athlete Simon Martirosyan, who won exclusively gold medals last year. First he won the European Championship and then he took the gold and set records at World Championship and U23 European Championship.
The voting will be closed on February 10. Martirosyan’s competitors are Om Yun Chol (Korea), Shi Zhiyong and Lyu Xiaojun (China), and Lasha Talakhadze (Georgia).
