Today the Armenian men’s weightlifting team starts the training camp in Tsaghkadzor.
Head coach of the team Pashik Alaverdyan has announced that three athletes (Simon Martirosyan, Hakob Mkrtchyan and Ruben Aleksanyan) will compete in the Olympic qualification tournament in Iran on February 1-5.
The Armenian Championship is going to take place on February 9-15 in Yerevan.
“Afterwards, the whole squad will train in Yerevan and Abovyan until April 1. These camps and trainings are the preparation for the European Championship in April, which is also a qualification event,” Alaverdyan has told the Olympic Committee of Armenia.
