Two Armenian weightlifters will compete today in the IWF World Championship organized in Pattaya, Thailand.
Tatev Hakobyan will come up in under 81kg weight category at 14:55 Yerevan Time. 10 participants will compete in this weight category.
In April Hakobyan took the bronze medal in snatch in the European Championship in Batumi. She was in the 4th place with total of 230kg.
Silver medalist of the European Championship Samvel Gasparyan (102kg) will compete at 17:25. He will be with other 11 weightlifters. The Armenian athlete’s preliminary order was 395kg, the same weight as the Korean Jin Yunseong ordered.
Gasparyan took the silver medal in the European Championship with 377kg.
