Head Coach of Armenian national weightlifting men’s team Pashik Alaverdyan positively assessed the results of his athletes in Junior & U23 European Weightlifting Championships. They won total 20 medals in this competition.
“Andranik Karapetyan won his first gold medal after the injury in the Olympic Games and was recognized the best athlete. He scored total 360 kg, less than during Sumer Universiade this year (he took the silver with total 364). Simon Martirosyan was the best in his age category. Karush Ghukasyan performed very well too. Gor Minasyan was also perfect,” Alaverdyan remarked.
He noted that they worked really hard to achieve these results, and the athletes justified his expectations.
