Armenian weightlifter Simon Martirosyan competed today in Summer Universiade, Taipei.
Silver medalist of the Olympic Games and European champion won gold medal in under 105 kg weight category.
It took him only 1 approach in snatch to keep 180 kg overhead.
The weightlifter acted confidently in clean and jerk as well, finishing his performance with 221 kg. He won gold medal with total of 401 kg.
Earlier gymnast Artur Tovmasyan became gold medalist in this completion. Andranik Karapetyan took silver medal in weightlifting and Sergey Vardazaryan – bronze in taekwondo.
