Andranik Karapetyan who got an arm injury during clean and jerk exercise at Rio Olympics underwent a surgery in Moscow.
Wrestler’s personal coach Vigen Khachatryan told Mediamax Sport that everything went fine. Karapetyan will return to Armenia as soon as tomorrow.
“He will leave for Moscow again in 20 days to receive physical therapy. When he’s back in Armenia, we will do exercises for legs and back and maybe work the operated arm too. Andranik will resume full training after New Year festivities so that he has time to prepare for important competitions in 2017,” coach said.
