The first members of Armenian Olympic delegation will leave for Rio de Janeiro tomorrow.
The team’s Chef de Mission and his two assistants will arrange everything before the athletes arrive.
Chef de Mission Derenik Gabrielyan said at the meeting with ANOC President Gagik Tsarukyan and the athletes that a great work has been done in the past four years, which gave results.
“We had 32 participants in 1996, and we’ll have 33 people in Rio. Armenian delegation will include 72 people. We will arrange everything by the time the athletes arrive,” stated Mr. Gabrielyan.
Armenia will bring a team of 35 people to Parade of Nations at the opening ceremony, and Armenian flag will be raised in Rio on August 3.
