Choice of sports: “My father is an Olympic champion in weightlifting, I couldn’t even think about any other sport. There’s a weightlifting training hall across from our house, and I wanted to go into that particular sport.”
The most important achievement: All his achievements are important to Arakel, but especially the victories in youth tournaments. “When you become a champion of Armenia for the first time at that age, you feel like the world belongs to you. That’s where great achievements begin.”
Idol: The Olympic three: Ogsen Mirzoyan, Yuri Vardanyan and Yuri Sargsyan, as well as Anatoly Pisarenko.
