World and European champion, silver medalist of the Olympic Games, MP Arsen Julfalakyan has started his working week at the Armenian National Assembly.

Having completed the training camp with Greco-Roman team in Minsk, he came back to the responsibilities of MP and was present at the session.

“My work is very interesting yet extremely saturated, especially on the days of sessions. I don’t want to miss them,” Julfalakyan said.

Being an acting athlete and MP is an exclusive opportunity. With his activity the wrestler wishes to prove that professional sportsmen can be involved in several important jobs at the same time.

As an Armenian MP, he is committed to implementing several important programs, attaching importance to sports tourism and sports medicine, making changes in the law on “Physical culture and sport”, registering athletes’ activity as work experience.

However, the beginning of April will be quite saturated for Julfalakyan as an athlete. Currently he participates in the training camp, held by Armenia national Greco-Roman team at Olympavan.

The wrestler will take part in the European Championship on April 8-24, Bucharest. This will be his first big competition after Rio Olympic Games.

“I will try to return with a medal. I have been preparing mainly for this tournament over the past three years now,” he said.

His main competitor Roman Vlasov will also participate in the European Championship, and Julfalakyan is willing to defeat him.

“The year has only started, and I aim at successful performance in the World Championship to qualify for Tokyo Olympics. My priority and unchangeable goal is participating in the 4th Olympics,” the athlete emphasized.
