The closing ceremony of the 6th Pan-Armenian Games took place at Freedom Square yesterday. The 6300 participants bid farewell to the Games after 11 days of tough competition.
Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan handed over the special prizes at the closing ceremony. He awarded winner of the beauty contest Diana Tumanova representing Tbilisi, Montreal team for “Best Delegation,” the team of Nicosia for “Fair Game,” Isfahan for “Sports Spirit and Patience” and Mush for “Pan-Armenian Games Revelation.”
“The most important achievement of Pan-Armenian Games is bringing thousands of Armenians in one place in their homeland, thus conveying new breath to the strengthening of Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora triumvirate. In this regard, Pan-Armenian Games are one of those unique tournaments where there are no winners and losers. We have all won as the Pan-Armenian Games are the true pledge and manifestation of our unity,” said Abrahamyan.
Chairman of Pan-Armenian Games International Committee Ishkhan Zakaryan has stressed that they feel happy and proud for organizing the Games on such a high level.
