The sambo team of Armenia will be represented by three fighters in European Games due in Baku in June.
According to Secretary General of the Armenian National Olympic Committee Hrachya Rostomyan, the following athletes were included in the sambo team – Tigran Kirakosyan (57 kg), Ashot Danielyan (90 kg) and Sose Balasanyan (52 kg).
The Armenia team will be represented by 25 athletes in the first European Games. Arman Yeremyan will compete in taekwondo, Hrachik Babayan and Norayr Arakelyan in shooting and Hovhannes Davtyan, Davit Nikoghosyan and Zhanna Stankevich – in judo.
Artyom Aleksanyan, Narek Abgaryan, Aram Avagyan, Samvel Barseghyan, Hovhannes Bochkov and Nikol Harutyunov will compete in boxing, while Garik Barseghyan, Davit Safaryan, Musa Murtazaliev, Levan Beranidze, Grigor Grigoryan and Volodya Frangulyan – in freestyle wrestling.
Roman Amoyan, Karapet Chalyan, Maksim Manukyan and Mihran Harutyunyan will fight in Greco-Roman wrestling.
