Armenian athletes find time between tournaments to meet the younger generation that will take on their path later.
This issue of In One Shot series presents the photo made at one of such meetings. The main character of this story is Yuri Vardanyan.
The picture was made in 1982 in Gyumri. Weightlifter Yuri Vardanyan took part in many sport events apart from trainings.
His wish was that children in his native town go into various sports and lead healthy lifestyle. He participated in the opening of a new training hall with other athletes and children.
Vardanyan held a short meeting with young volleyball players, where he showed his own skills.
It is worth noting that he played volleyball before switching to weightlifting. They say that Vardanyan held a game with the children and advised them to always play some sport.
