Armenian national football team led by Vardan Minasyan had been showing very beautiful and productive football during EURO-2012 qualifying tournament. It was the first time our team was that close to qualify for the finals.

Armenian football players recorded several memorable victories during that qualifying tournament. One of the wins came with 3:1 victory over Slovakia at Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium.

This time, Mediamax Sport In One Shot series will recall the match on October 8, 2010.

Armenian national football team had gained only 1 point before that match. Being the host, Armenians were defeated by Ireland and ended the quite dramatic competition with 2:2 draw while they were hosted by Macedonia.

The match against Slovakia was very beautiful and scored many goals. Armenian national team's goal-scorers were Yura Movsisyan, Gevorg Ghazaryan and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

At the 89th minute of the match, Mkhitaryan ended the game with a beautiful goal from distance.

“Slovakia was not waiting that kind of game from us. We were really at our best”, Mkhitaryan told after the match.
