“Mediamax Sport” continues “Sports Beauty of the Week” series.
Italian beauty and volleyball player Marta Menegatti plays in the Italian national team of beach volleyball.
She started playing volleyball at the age of 9, and got interested in beach volleyball from 2006. Soon after, Menegatti was selected for Italy women's national beach volleyball team, and participated in many European and world tournaments. In 2009, she left volleyball and dedicated herself to beach volleyball.
By the way, Marta Menegatti is a military enlisted by the Sports Center of the Italian Military Air Force. 
- Marta, it’s no secret that beach volleyball is one of the sexiest sports in the world.
- Certainly, beach volley is a sport that puts more emphasis on the athlete's body. As for being one of the sexiest sports in the world, I admit that between beach volley and swimming, the battle is tough! (Smiling).
- Which is the most difficult thing in beach volleyball for you?
- I think the most difficult aspect of this sport is developing the ability to adapt yourself to the many different situations that come up during a match, along with all the various climate conditions encountered in each tournament.
-How would you describe Marta Menegatti’s life out of sports?
- I love reading and watching movies. Usually, when I have free time, I like to spend it with my family, even though they are far from where I live and train, unfortunately.
- If you could combine beach volleyball with another sport to form a super- sport, which sport would you choose?
- That's a good question! I don’t know how to answer as beach volley is The Super-Sport for me!!!!
- Do you have any pre-match rituals or superstitions?
- To be honest, I am not superstitious, but I always listen to music improving my concentration, giving me energy and charge!!!
- What has been your greatest athletic moment until today?
- As a defense player, my greatest athletic moment is when I defend a difficult attack from my opponent, and at the end, score the point!
- What is the one thing you would change about beach volleyball?
- Absolutely nothing! It’s a perfect sport!
- Do you have a special saying or motto that helps you move forward?
-Yes I do and it's "You can do it, if you really believe you can!"
- What is the main 2014 tournament you are especially looking forward to?
- I'm looking forward to the European Tournament that will be held here in Italy. It will be absolutely fantastic playing in my own country, and obviously, it will give my partners and me strength and power.
- Beach volleyball is…
-Passion, aggression, sangfroid, precision, resistance, reactivity and faith. 
- What's your style like off the court?
- I adore high heel shoes but since I am not that able to walk on them, I rarely wear them. I like classic styles and I love purses!
- I always wondered what the volleyball players keep in their gym bag besides sportswear.
- In my gym bag, I always have my hair clips, sunglasses, sunscreen lotion and my black eyeliner.
- If someone were to turn on your iPod right now, what song would be playing?

- What is the best advice you have ever received and continue to follow today?
- “Everything will work out at the end. If it doesn't, the end has yet to come!" It's more than just advice; it's the right attitude to face life with positivity and faith.

-Never let yourself go and neglect your body: this means not having respect for yourself.
- What do you know about Armenia and Armenian sports?
- Honestly, very little, but recently I read that your country hosted the European Individual Chess Championship.
