Spanish coach Joaquín Caparrós, recently appointed new manager of the Armenian national football team, has arrived in Yerevan.
The press department of the Football Federation of Armenia has told Mediamax Sport that the coach has tested negative for coronavirus.
Caparrós was supposed to speak at a press conference today, but the federation has warned that given the surge of coronavirus cases in Armenia and the need to prevent further spread of the virus, the press conference will not take place.
The announcement about Caparrós’ appointment was made this week. His contract with Armenia runs until 2021.
