Armenia and Arsenal midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has participated in a Q&A session on Reddit, and Mediamax Sport presents several answers from Mkhitaryan’s AMA (Aks Me Anything).

Before the game you always have a plan in your head, but it’s not always that the plan works as you wish. So you just have to think in a second or less than a second to make your decision. If you are one against one or playing the ball through the defense line for the striker you don't have too much time to think!

I have worked under 10 managers now and everyone has been different. I learned a lot from everyone, good and bad things, and I’m grateful to them all.

I like to play in the centre more than on the wing, but playing on the wing, you have a different plan of the game. The most important thing is to play. It doesn’t matter where! I am just trying to help the team as much as I can and to make my fellow Armenians proud.

I think a lot about football. About the training and the games, what was good and was bad. I think of what I can do better. I watch a lot of football games. I never think that in the training I can do this, so I am going to try it. During training or in the game, everything happens so quick that you do not have time to think about it.

I never thought I would play again with them. It was my dream to play again with them but unfortunately I didn’t see it happening. I am very happy to see them. The world is small and now we are reunited!

I would say that the hardest language was the German language because I didn’t have any base with it. I did not know any German before I started that. I learned German on my own, having lessons on my own and trying to improve myself. I wanted to talk with my teammates and to be flexible talking with people.

I think the easiest language to learn was my mother tongue, Armenia! But that is because it was my first language and we always studied that in school. When I was at school, I didn’t really pay attention to the English language because I knew French. But when I had my dream to play for top clubs in Europe, I said to myself that it was time to learn English as well.

It’s good to know many languages, but sometimes it bothers you, because you want to find the right word in one language and you cannot find it in your mind.

The most important thing is to believe in yourself. Making a mistake once does not mean you are a bad player. You have to work more. You have to believe in what you do and never give up. Losing is not the end of the world. It is just something you have to learn about. Try to win the next game or next training session!

There are a lot of great players I’d like to play with, but I think I would like to play alongside my father. It would be a great connection between me and him, and it would be fun. I always watched him play on video cassettes as I wasn’t lucky enough to see him play in real life. But I’ve heard that he was a great player.

My favorite match was with Manchester United when we played the Europa League final. Why? Because we won the Europa League and it was a very important trophy for me and the club. Also, I was the first Armenian player to win an international trophy at that level.

That’s why I would say it was the favorite match. It meant a lot to me to be the first Armenian to win an international trophy at that level. I hope to have more favorite games in the future here in Arsenal!
