Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Youri Djorkaeff, who participated in the Legends Match in Yerevan and scored a goal.
Djorkaeff said that he attached importance to visiting Armenia, as he is half-Armenian.
“What you have accomplished recently was awsome. You inspired many Armenians, gave them hope, which they had lost before. This is a completely new path, as there is an opportunity to do things in a proper way, which is why I would like to know what I can do for the country. I also want to take a step, and my foundation is ready to start new programs with Armenia,” the football player said.
He also added that he works with UNESCO and is ready to cooperate on that platform as well to help Armenia prosper.
“You know that all Armenians are proud of you. I am glad that you are in Armenia and I am hopeful that your ties with the country will be continuous and we will be able to cooperate. You will support the development of football and related infrasctructure in Armenia, as well as inspire the desire to make a career in football among the younth,” Armenian PM said.
