Arsenal officially announced that Unai Emery will take the position of Head Coach of Arsenal.
Arsenal Chief Executive Ivan Gazidis said that Unai has an outstanding track record of success throughout his career, has developed some of the best young talent.
“His hard-working and passionate approach and his sense of values on and off the pitch make him the ideal person to take us forward. We conducted a wide-ranging search, including personal meetings with all the candidates we shortlisted. All were interested in the position and we were unanimous in our choice of Unai to drive the next chapter of our history,” he said.
46-year-old left Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season. He was French champion and two-time winner of Coupe de France, UEFA Super Cup and Coupe de la Ligue. Earlier he won Europa League with Sevilla.
