President of Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) Ruben Hayrapetyan introduced today the head coach of the Armenia national football team Artur Petrosyan.
Hayrapetyan remarked that everyone welcomes Petrosyan and wished the newly appointed coach fruitful work and successes.
Petrosyan noted in his turn that certain changes in the team will be noticeable in the qualifying round of 2018 World Championship, in the game against Montenegro, which will take place on November 11, Yerevan.
“I will not work in FC Zurich any longer. I will be in Armenia, following the championship. I will try to be present at all the games.
If the team has progress, I will consider it a significant result for me,” the coach said.
He will try to give off some positive energy in the team and prepare young people psychologically. Petrosyan is convinced that he will be able to register successes; otherwise, he would not have agreed to lead the team in this difficult situation. “I know where I have come and for what reason. I have worked in the national team for many years, and I know the kitchen. We will do everything possible to achieve success in the coming games.”
The coach added that he needs support from the fans and wishes them to be with the team.
Razmik Grigoryan and Sargis Hovhannisyan will help Petrosyan in the team, while Hayk Kirakosyan will work with goalkeepers.
