Jean Djorkaeff distinguished Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan among Armenian football players.
Djorkaeff noted that Mkhitaryan is a multifaceted and interesting football player in the interview he gave to Izvestia.ru.
“He will have a great future in European football. I won’t be surprised if Henrikh receives offers from Real, Barcelona or some English top club in summer,” said he.
Djorkaeff always favoured Roman Berezovsky in Armenian team. Now he’s sure that the experienced goalkeeper will become a wonderful coach after finishing his career.
Jean Djorkaeff also spoke about the offer to head Armenian team that he received years ago: “My wife is Armenian, and she wanted to live in Armenia some day very much. I got very good offers from Armenian Football Federation in 1998, but I decided to stay in France after long reflection. I was helping a club in Liga-1 at that time, and I really wanted to be present at World Championship in France.”
