Armenian Football Federation President Ruben Hayrapetyan met with some journalists today. He summed up the games and talked about the team’s problems.
He stressed that the national team had played exceptionally bad games. According to him, he was ready to resign after the game with Albania.
The most upsetting for Hayrapetyan is that Armenia lost that game and there have been some cheating accusations.
“We should organize the team and terminate the cheatings. The game against Albania was very unsuccessful and shameful for us. Until we point out the ones to blame, we won’t reach anything”.
According to AFF President, there are 2-3 devoted footballers in the team, who are always ready to play with great enthusiasm: but all 11 players are important in football. He also stressed that the others just walk in the field and they don’t want to play.
Hayrapetyan said that the footballers think too much of themselves. They signed contracts with their clubs for millions, bought expensive cars and are sitting on reserve bench and are satisfied by it, they think that they have reached the pick and don’t strive for more.
Hayrapetyan explains that there are numerous problems in the national team, and success is possible only after solving them.
He said that the name of the new coach will be known soon, who will be a local specialist. Hayrapetyan learned his lesson from working with specialists from abroad and believes that they disrupt the team’s discipline that takes a long time to recover.
