At the end of the match, Davit Alaverdyan, journalists’ team captain, Chief  Editor at Mediamax media company, admitted that the most import thing for journalists wasn’t the victory but coming to the bordering village and communicating with the residents.

“The match had been cancelled before with objective and subjective reasons, also because of the tension at the border. We are happy that we managed to play after all. The match was a success despite of a tense competition”, he said and also added, “We wanted to show people that live near border in Tavush that the journalists are right next to them. We could have played in other central stadiums in Tavush, where the conditions would have been better, but the whole idea was to play in a bordering village. We chose Nerqin Karmir Aghbyur, as it is exactly the target of the enemy”.

“It’s very important to organize such events more often. People living near the border feel that they are not alone as a result of it. A main event takes place in the village that brings the villagers together”, Tavush team’s captain, the head of the Tavush Diocese, Bishop Bagrat Galstanyan said.

The head of the Tavush Diocese thanked the journalists for the initiative and the willingness to play in a bordering village.
