Midfielder for the Armenia national football team Aras Ozbiliz has admitted that head coach for Spartak Moscow Murat Yakin who is Turkish dismissed him from the main squad on the centenary of the Armenian Genocide.
“It would be funny if it weren't so sad. I don’t want to play for a club headed by a coach who treats me like that and does not want me to train and play. I assiduously trained for a year and recuperated, I was counting the days to appear on the pitch but they do not let me,” Ozbiliz told Eurosport.ru.
He said that he did not lay claims to immediately start playing for the main squad, but wanted to train with the team a lot.
The midfielder did not say anything about Yakin as a coach as he has never played under him, but he believes that with such an approach to work and with such climate it is impossible to attain good results.
“Many players don’t understand what’s going on in the team. They can’t believe it. They could not get it why I was sent to Spartak-2. They want to know the reason but I have no answer yet. Maybe it’s because I am an Armenian and the coach is a Turk. What can Yura Movsisyan, who used to score over 15 goals and is constantly among reserve players, say on this? How can the best forward turn into a reserve player?” underlined Ozbiliz.
