Armenia representatives to play in Round 1 of Aeroflot Open today

Aeroflot Open has kicked off in Moscow today.

The official opening ceremony and the draw of the international chess tournament were held last night. Armenia is represented by three chess players in the main tournament.

In the first round, member of Armenia national men’s team Gabriel Sargsyan will play with Vitaly Sivuk (Ukraine), Hayk Martirosyan will face Kaido Kulaots (Estonia), and Shant Sargsyan will compete against Evgeny Kardashevskiy (Russia).

The Armenian players will feature in B tournament as well. The prize fund of Aeroflot Open makes EUR 120,000.
