Levon Aronian has won Superbet Rapid & Blitz, the 6th stage of Grand Chess Tour, held in Bucharest.

Aronian has said that the tournament was entertaining and featured good, difficult games. In that regard, he considers the Superbet Rapid & Blitz a success.

“Competition was tough. Of course, I wanted to win in tie-break, which created some tension. If you want to be remembered, you have to win. Only winners go down in history,” he noted.

In the total table of Grand Chess Tour, Aronian sits 4th with 36.5 point. The leader is Magnus Carlsen with 54.5 points.
